Join Lenovo Software and play a key role in growing the software business within the world’s #1 PC and device manufacturer. We seek a dynamic individual who will engage with the sales teams to provide pre-sales technical support, Proof-of-Concept implementations, product demonstrations, sales training, and any solution architecture.

As a Sales Engineer, your primary responsibility will be architecting and implementing Lenovo Software solutions for customers and partners. We are looking for an individual who has 8-10 years of experience in systems administration, networking, and various web technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance as well as product training to sales teams on Lenovo’s software product offerings, including End User Computing(EUC) solutions like IGEL, Windows AVD, VMWare Horizon, Citrix, etc.
  • Architect and implement Lenovo Software solutions using IGEL’s reference architecture and best practices for Lenovo’s enterprise customers
  • Support the GTM motion for the region and execute on sales pipeline on a quarterly/yearly basis
  • Implement Demos, Proofs-of-Concept(PoC)/Proof of Value(PoV) at the customer, partner locations, or virtually as needed.
  • Engage directly with sales teams, channels partners, customers, and prospects to understand requirements and existing architecture; develop implementation plans to support those findings
  • Work closely with partners and customers to provide excellent customer service
  • Collaborate with teams from Sales, Channels Partners, Technology Partners, Development, Product Management, Customer Support, Services, Marketing, and Leadership.
  • Troubleshoot faulty systems and software and develop plans to resolve issues
  • Train, certify, and support partner technical engineers on Lenovo Software solutions



EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • 8-10 years of proven, customer-facing experience in sales, technical support, or customer success
  • Experience presenting and demonstrating software solutions to all levels of customers
  • Experience in supporting GTM motions and executing on sales pipeline on a quarterly/yearly basis
  • Technical skills with a good understanding of Linux OS, IGEL OS, Virtualization TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls, software deployment, and web technologies.
  • 5+ years of experience with IGEL OS or another Thin client OS, Remote Desktop Services, Azure Virtual Desktop, AWS, Citrix, and VMware Horizon environments will be a plus.
  • BA/BS or commensurate experience


Preferred:

  • 8-10 years of end-user computing solutions sales experience preferred
  • Excellent solution architect and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Self-directed with enthusiasm for problem-solving and a sense of urgency
  • A passion for helping end users use technology to create better learning environments
  • Ability to learn new technologies and incorporate them into customer solutions
  • This position is remote but may require up to 20% travel
