Motorola 312 Labs System Architect and Engineering Technologist
High Level Job Description
From applied research to advanced product engineering, Motorola 312 Labs has the capabilities and expertise to build the next generation of mobile form factors and devices. As a system architect you will provide insights that will influence next generation product designs and architecture definitions. You will be responsible for evaluating the industry landscape and creating unique systems from new emerging technologies.
Background / Experience Requirements
Prior product development experience is preferred. Candidates should have some background with the practical aspects of product development and launch.
Experience with or technical knowledge of a range of baseband, embedded systems, processor architectures, and radio access technologies (x86, ARM/RISC, LTE, 5G etc…).
Knowledge of various communication protocols (especially USB C, SPI, I2C, UART, MIPI, DSI, PCIe...)
Key Job Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with other key disciplines such as software and hardware architects, mechanical and industrial design, etc...
Initiate and scope out advanced technology projects with multiple stakeholders.
Possess keen awareness and ability to stay abreast of upcoming technical trends and internal roadmaps to drive new technology into the product portfolio.
Expand Lenovo’s Intellectual Property by taking your innovative ideas and designs through the patent process as needed.
Key Work Partners
You will work with multiple functions within Lenovo including Product Management, Hardware and Software Engineering, Supply Chain, Consumer Research, Industrial Design, and Business Teams.
Externally, you will engage chipset vendors, industry technologists, research institutions and universities with the intent of identifying and developing technology for use in mobile products.
