Description and Requirements

Main Activities/Tasks

  • Review regular tax filing & annual corporate income tax filing. Monitor and manage the status of tax payments for the in-charge entities. To ensure the filing data are accurate and fully in line with the local tax law and regulations.
  • Assistance in collecting data required for purpose of tax audit, annual external audit, transfer pricing documentation or other management work.
  • Tax charge (including CIT and Deferred tax) calculation, true-up calculation, forecast calculation and etc.
  • Perform the tax refund / benefit / subsidy application with the relevant government authorities.
  • Perform regular contract review according to the review rules / principles.
  • Perform tax registration/de-registration or tax registration change with tax bureau for the in-charge entities.
  • Maintain good relationship and communication with tax authorities and coordinate with ad-hoc inquiries in a timely manner
  • Prepare listing for the manual GUI invoices and credit note. Check if the valid Sales Return Certificates are obtained for the sales return items by verifying the hard copies of the sales return certificates. Check the output VAT detail list and resolve any differences.
  • Prepare the input VAT detail list based on the original copies of the supporting documents. Verify the original hard copy documents for the validity to claim the VAT.
  • Provide tax compliance & invoice advice to internal teams.
  • Support on other tax / invoice related matters.

Key Qualifications

  • Degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance or equivalent Accountancy qualification.
  • 5 years of relevant working experience, in Big 4/reputable MNCs as a plus.
  • Meticulous with strong analytical skills and a high aptitude for Excel, Word, PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of Taiwan tax and accounting laws/practice.
  • Strong communication skills in both Mandarin and English.
