Description and Requirements

The Software engineer will join the Motorola Experiences team based in Bangalore, India. The experience group at Motorola leads development of some of the signature novel experiences on Motorola phones and devices. They include the widely-acclaimed Edge Touch, Moto Gametime, Moto Voice & ON-device feedback features. All these unique experiences rest on Moto innovated hardware enablers and software enablers. These are experiences that not only fill key user needs but point the way to new directions in the development of mobile computing, across all of the user’s devices, whether they be PCs, laptops, or phones. Job Responsibilities: 1. Architect and build a secure solution to reduce the friction of setup and usage of an additional personal device . 2. Analyze requirements for this solution and build prototype to perform feasibility and impact analysis leveraging 5. Collaborate with product managers, Framework team, and both internal and external stakeholders to drive dependency delivery and ensure on-time ship of the feature with optimum quality & performance 6. Responsible for play store upgrades and platform upgrades for the feature 7. Responsible for Region/Locale/hardware specific customization Requirements: 1. Bachelor degree or above in CS, CE, Mathematics or related engineering discipline. 2. 5+ years demonstrated industry experience developing and shipping apps with the Android platform. 3. Extensive understanding of Android framework components and their lifecycles, sharp Android development skills (Fragments, Animation, Performance, Memory, etc.) 4. Understanding of data structures, data modelling and software architecture 5. Hands on Google cloud technologies. 6. Good knowledge of math, probability, statistics and algorithms 7. A constant desire to improve, learn more and take our team to the next level.
