Description and Requirements

Roles and responsibilities

Lead next generation of collaborative smart device development as system design lead and electrical engineer

- Product requirement document, functional specification, verification plan document creation

- Leads the detailed design of hardware (schematics, layout, signal routing, etc.) with ODM

- Leads the debugging of hardware issues and problem resolution with ODM

- Leads the unit testing of hardware validation with ODM

- Design, schematics, BOM, security, and publication review

- Problem reporting and tracking, instruction and negotiation on problem solving with ODM

- Factory audio/setup with manufacturing team

- Make a build plan for evaluation machines, prepare parts and subsystems for machine build

- Communicate with WW development team and ODM to support their development activities

- Report development status to higher management and people managers

Key Interaction with:

- Lenovo Smart Collaboration product development engineers (Mechanical, Thermal, BIOS/EC, Subsystem, Software) in China/Japan

- Lenovo product assurance team in China/Japan

- Lenovo marketing team in United States

- Lenovo user experience designer and industrial designer in United States

- External ODM partner in China/Taiwan

- External key partner, such as Microsoft, Google, and Qualcomm

■Experience/Skill:

Mandatory:

- Product development management in electrical equipment/devices development for more than 5 years

- Hardware design and problem solving in electrical device development (Elec./Mech.)

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Signal Processing, etc

-Understanding of datasheet of ICs, subsystems, schematics, and layout design of motherboard

- Knowledge about mechanics technology

- Strong English communication in written and verbal

- Strong sense of ownership with focus on product quality and reliability

Optional:

- Experience in motherboard development for more than 5 years

- Knowledge and experience on camera and audio hardware design at the level she/he can explain what it is & how it works briefly to others
