Description and Requirements

Are you a Technical Sales Consultant? Do you love selling complex IT solutions? -  then we're looking for YOU!

As a Lenovo Technical Presales Specialist, you will focus on Lenovo’s infrastructure solutions in Denmark. You will embrace the full Lenovo Data Center and Edge product portfolio and get engaged in promoting Lenovo products and solutions to some of the largest companies in Denmark. 


You will work with CTOs, IT specialists, and Lenovo sales teams and with Lenovo partners to help drive Lenovo’s opportunities through the sales cycle from understanding customer business and technical requirements, building the customer’s solution architecture and driving the opportunity up to a profitable closing and implementation.

You will report to the Danish Country Sales Manager and work closely with the Lenovo Sales Team. Your technical expertise is needed to define the right solution for our customers. With your knowledge and experience, you actively support the sales team growing business across the whole Infrastructure Solutions product portfolio and establish Lenovo as a true solution provider with our channel partners.

This job role includes / What will you do:

  • Defining and identifying IT Data Center projects in the coming quarters by acting as a trusted advisor to the assigned customer set and to our business partners
  • Building a future pipeline of classical and software-defined IT Infrastructure business
  • Building and maintaining relationships with technical specialists within Lenovo’s Business Partners and Distributors
  • Take a leading role in the technical education of Channel Partners/Distributors and keep our partners/resellers/distributors up to date with new technologies and innovations
  • Identifying customer projects and interpreting their technical requirements
  • Build technical solutions working with the wider specialist product and technical community, the sales teams, and business partners as appropriate, to support winning the business
  • Lead and/or provide Technical Input to Tenders/ RFIs/RFPs
  • Gather information to develop an accurate understanding of customer technology infrastructure
  • Adapt solution design to new requirements
  • Proactively support the account team with product advice, presentations, proposal support

Position Requirements:/ What will you bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of customer-facing technical sales experience preferably in the data center with a focus on storage, server, networking, solutions
  • Demonstrate a broad understanding of trends & technologies for data center solutions, Storage, Hyper-Converged systems, and system virtualization in principle
  • Ability to create and present technical solutions to senior-level clients within the customer and clearly articulate the technical value proposition to the customer
  • General knowledge across the Server, Storage, and Networking portfolio, with competencies in core technologies like system virtualization and hyper-converged infrastructure
  • Technical leading proof of concepts
  • Fluency in the English language as well as local language
