Description and Requirements

We are looking for Test engineers with a background in functional testing for a position in Lenovo’s DCG Product Assurance team. The role will require experience with new feature validation on servers, options, enterprise software and server OS’s. Testing will include error injection, using test scripts and automation, data capture, and assisting with debug efforts. This role will be responsible for execution test plans and test cases indented to ensure quality delivery of new Lenovo ThinkSystem servers and FW functions. Applicants must have a strong background in one or more of the following: UEFI, systems management features, networking, or external storage. The applicants should have some experience in several of the following areas: error injection, compatibility testing, security testing, protocol level validation (I2C, IPMI, Redfish, SNMP, IPv4/6, FC, iSCSI, FCoE, etc.) good and negative path testing. The role requires the ability to apply this knowledge to execute test plans, and to find and document defects. Job responsibilities: • Execution of test plans on Lenovo servers • Defect documentation / discover • Server configuration and installation • Network / SAN setup • Identify automation opportunities and drive automation development activities • Working with development on defect debug efforts Requirements: • Recently graduated in BD of Computer science, IT, Mechatronics, Engineering, or related. • Proficient English (80+%) • 1 year of experience in similar position or related test areas. • Understanding of Product Assurance, development, unit test, or BBFV processes Experience or knowledge in any of the following: o Server OS’s (RedHat, SuSE, Windows, VMWare) o Understanding of servers, server HW, and server firmware (XCC/BMC and UEFI) o Enterprise level SW (Lenovo X-Clarity, HP OpenView, etc.) o Networking (IPv6 / V4, Virtualization, InfiniBand, etc. o CPU / Memory compatibility testing o Intel and AMD architecture and command injection, use of Intel / AMD tools (ITP) o Fault injection
