Description and Requirements

Lenovo is looking for a software development engineer to design and execute Open Cloud software initiatives. You will be working on Open Source Cloud projects and roll up your sleeves executing software development and automation DevOps. A successful technical contributor at Lenovo needs to be innovative, detail-oriented, team-oriented, self-directed, and adaptable to changing business requirements.

In this position you will:

  • Be responsible for web application development of Lenovo Open Cloud Automation (LOC-A) enterprise product to support various clouds for deployment on day 1 and lifecycle management on day 2. The cloud can be VMWare Cloud Foundation, VMWare vSAN, or Kubernetes
  • Work collaboratively with Product Managers, Architects, UX designers, and other software engineers to ensure solutions meet requirements and are extensible long-term
  • Support account team and service team to deploy the new projects and resolve customers’ issues

Apply if you have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • 1-2 years of web UI application design and development experience with a full project lifecycle
  • Good programming skills and hands-on experience in building enterprise web UI applications with HTML, Javascript, CSS, etc.
  • Good development experience with web frameworks/platforms like Angular, Vue, etc.
  • Understanding and experience with security and performance optimization of web UI technologies
  • Good English skills
  • Experience in full-stack development of web applications is a strong plus
  • Experience in cloud management applications and x86 hardware management is a plus
  • Knowledge and experience in VMware Cloud Foundation, VMware vSphere/vSAN, and Kubernetes is a plus

You will be part of a global team and will be reporting to the local ISG Senior Development Manager.
