Description and Requirements

The Sales Operations Lead for the UK and Ireland is responsible for driving Sales Operations support and cadence, working with commercial and consumer sales teams across the business.  Ensuring that the country meets or exceeds its targets and taking corrective action when off-track, by following through on action plans with the country teams.

  • Coordinating, preparing, and driving the BIR Sales Cadence for all business in UKI.
  • Leading and implementing process changes to UK, as well as controls / trackers to drive the business e.g., trackers on high end product skews.
  • Implementing EMEA processes to UK e.g., Context for Retail sell out.
  • Load management: load anticipation and execution, aged and sell out tracking, liabilities consumption.
  • Specific country level reports.
  • Target setting (internal and external) for UKI business and projecting / tracking of market share performance (IDC, GfK, Context etc.).
  • I&C for UKI sales (incentives/commissions - setting targets/checking results).
  • Budget and Mx preparation for UKI (working with finance).
  • Weekly forecast input with CGM and BM leaders.
  • Working in close cooperation with the sales team, supply chain, I&C, finance, BU in UKI and with EMEA reps.
  • Helping to run the daily / weekly sales cadence.
  • Effectively being the 'right hand person' of the Country General Manager.

Responsibilities as a People Manager: 

  • Continuously coach and develop the employees to build a strong team: set clear development plans and goals for every reportee
  • Ensures employees understand how their work contributes to Lenovo’s strategy, market success, and your organization's goals. 
  • Leads by example, set clear performance standards, provides straightforward feedback respectfully, and actively manages low contributors
  • Recognizes outstanding contributions by employees and teams
  • Ensures a positive performance climate, listens to employees, addresses their issues, and help employees succeed in Lenovo’s matrix environment
  • Own team cadence structure to optimize revenue and profit achievement, early identification of opportunities and challenges, and deliver a predictable business forecast

Essential skills and experience:

  • At least 10 years of working experience, out of which at least 5 years as a people manager
  • Experience within the retail segment, IT hardware industry experience, and PC sector experience would be preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and execution
  • Position Requirements: Knowledge of Sales or Operations preferred.
  • Degree educated.
  • Significant personal drive, good communication skills and strong networking skills.
  • Very good analytical skills
