Description and Requirements

At Lenovo we strive to put more innovation in the hands of more people so they can do more amazing things. To maintain our leadership and compete in this aggressive marketplace, we are looking to enhance our team with additional talent. We are currently seeking a VMI Receiving Lead with education/experience necessary to join our growing team based in our 240,000 square feet fulfillment and manufacturing center in Whitsett, NC (between Greensboro/Burlington).

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely unloading of incoming shipments and verify their accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including assisting with inventory audits and cycle counts.
  • Assist associates with any operational problems or issues that may arise during daily operations.
  • Authorize inbound transportation and ensure accurate completion of warehouse documents.
  • Lead receiving processes and provide training to new team members on warehouse procedures.
  • Maintain facilities and ensure proper housekeeping standards are upheld to create a safe and organized work environment.
  • Manage inventory levels, including stock rotation, storage optimization, and inventory accuracy.
  • Work towards maximizing production output and efficiency while minimizing waste and downtime.
  • Receive parts and perform incoming inspections to ensure quality standards are met before integration into inventory.
  • Track productivity standards daily and implement improvements to enhance operational performance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in warehouse operations is a plus.
  • Proven experience in warehouse management or related roles, with a strong understanding of inventory control and logistics.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a warehouse setting.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and resolve issues efficiently.
