Description and Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled Voice System Software Engineer to lead the ARM-based porting of voice processing algorithms and integrate them across various platforms, including NXP, Qualcomm, and MTK. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing Linux/Android middleware and Windows APO drivers, and will also be responsible for designing tuning tools for voice processing modules.

Responsibilities:

  • ARM-Based Porting: Lead the ARM-based porting of voice processing algorithms, ensuring seamless adaptation and performance optimization across different platforms.
  • Platform Integration: Integrate voice processing algorithms with various hardware platforms such as NXP, Qualcomm, and MTK, ensuring compatibility and high performance.
  • Middleware Development: Develop Linux/Android middleware to support voice processing algorithms, enabling robust and scalable system integration.
  • Driver Development: Design and implement Windows APO drivers to ensure seamless audio processing and interaction with voice modules.
  • Tuning Tool Design: Create and maintain tuning tools for voice processing modules, allowing for precise calibration and optimization of audio performance.
  • System Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize the integration of voice algorithms, focusing on improving system efficiency and reducing latency.
  • Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for porting processes, integration workflows, middleware, and driver development.
  • Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing and validation of voice processing algorithms across different platforms to ensure reliability and performance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years experience in ARM-based porting of voice processing algorithms, with a strong background in middleware and driver development.
  • Experience in Linux/Android middleware development and Windows APO driver design.
  • Experience with platform integration on NXP, Qualcomm, MTK, and similar hardware platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in voice processing, ARM architecture and voice processing algorithms.
  • Strong understanding of tuning tool design and audio processing optimization.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with global teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on optimizing voice processing systems for diverse platforms.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and real-time audio processing.

This position will be based in our North America Headquarters in Raleigh, NC.  Our office has transitioned to a hybrid work environment supporting 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.  To be considered, candidates need to be local to Raleigh or willing to relocate on their own.
