Description and Requirements

Would you like to join our finance team at Lenovo as our new Worldwide Head of Pricing & Accounts Profit management for Global Accounts. 

In this role, you'll be driving for consistency across GEOs and Business Groups Profit Management as well as practice optimization. You'll ensure global consistency of the application of all financial policies, and standard procedures, processes, tools and systems. Implement best practices, common tools and consistent processes for a geographically dispersed organization.

What else is waiting for you in this role?
  • Oversee a team of geography/vertical -based Pricing & Profit managers (9 individuals) responsible for review and recommendations on bid pricing in conjunction with our GA CFO and Vertical GMs/WW GMs. 
  • Work with Finance, Sales and Marketing teams to identify new profitable growth and margin recovery initiatives. “Think Outside the Box” and “What is Possible” vision a must. Drive for year to year AUR improvement. Review product offerings with both Sales and Product Managers to ensure Lenovo has a compliant offering whilst maximizing profit through an understanding of component cost environment and future cost projections..
  • Ownership of all deal structuring in collaboration with controllership • Business decision support on ad hoc investments and other business cases
  • Conduct product transition reviews with our Sales and Product teams to ensure optimized pricing/configuration strategies, with the objective of maximizing revenue, margin and customer experience whilst ensuring compliance to contractual commitments.
  • Facilitate a detailed review of customer tender documents and / or opportunity qualification with Sales teams to ensure appropriate pricing strategies are implemented.
  • Provide the Sales teams with the response to Commercial questions contained in Lenovo’s customer proposals / Tender responses.
  • Work with the legal and bid response teams to ensure an appropriate level of T&C’s review takes place for all Tenders, highlight both commercial and legal risk to CFO prior to opportunity sign-off
  • Drive effective Financial modeling of opportunities and ensure due diligence around price point setting – price to market and not price-to-margin
  • Presentation of pricing proposals to management teams ensuring appropriate sign off prior to submission
  • Provide detailed analysis of bid data each quarter, considering F/X fluctuation, product transitions, and application of specific regional or global strategies.

What do we expect from you?
  • Bachelors Degree and 10+ years of progressive experience within Pricing and/or Finance functions.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a highly matrixed environment
  • Able to work with different cultures, cross functionally and with people in all job levels, including executives
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, lead, motivate and develop a highly talented Finance team that supports Selling activities.
  • Superior quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong analytical and process improvement skills with the ability to identify and implement business improvement and cost reduction opportunities on a continuous basis
  • Background in IT Industry
  • Sales experience a plus.
  • Multinational people management experience a must
  • Strong financial and project-management business acumen
  • Competent problem solver, innovative thinker
  • Ability to model complex, multi-year, multi-product deal scenarios with varying cost and funding projections
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and deal with ambiguity
  • Superior prioritization skills – balance important/non important tasks
  • Detail driven
  • Strong communication. Ability to boil down strategic pricing decisions into actionable steps for Sales Organization to execute.
