Description and Requirements

Lenovo’s Infrastructure Solution Group (ISG) is seeking an accomplished business development manager to define and lead the 5G wireless strategy.  Mobile Operators are migrating their infrastructure to an Open RAN (ORAN) architecture and require x86 infrastructure and 5G software.   This role will define the right strategy, partnerships and markets delivering success for Lenovo’s Communication Service Provider (CommSP) segment around the world. The objective of this role is to make sure Lenovo’s CommSP products are sold in the right markets, with the right partners and comply with local regulations. 

Your responsibility:

  • Identify key markets for Lenovo CommSP to deliver Wireless solutions (including RAN and 5G SW)
  • Identify key partnerships and requirements to develop complete solutions.
  • Develop a comprehensive strategy to grow Lenovo’s 5G solutions
  • Strong understand of local regulation and possible development funds available
  • Define a business case to support the strategy
  • Lead the execution of the proposed strategy

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required, Master or MBA preferred

• Very strong technical understanding of telecom industry

• Strong NFV and RAN expertise

• 10+ years relevant technical and business development experience

• Global experiences with ability to operate in world wide markets

• Able to build solid business cases, evaluate forecast and market trends

  • Excellent business acumen and proven track record of business growth
  • Strong technical knowledge of the Telco and ORAN market

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Multiple language and international experience preferred
  • Startup attitude and large corporation experiences
