Description and Requirements

At Lenovo, we manufacture one of the world’s widest portfolios of connected products, including PCs (ThinkPad, Yoga, Lenovo Legion), tablets, smartphones and workstations as well as augmented and virtual reality (Mirage, ThinkReality) and smart home/office solutions, software and services. Lenovo’s data center solutions (ThinkSystem, ThinkAgile) are creating the capacity and computing power for the connections that are changing business and society.

Lenovo workstations are designed for mission critical applications in every customer segment whether it's AI & Data Science, Media & Entertainment, or Medical & Science. We are looking for a dynamic candidate to drive and manage all aspects of interaction, development and deployment of the software components of the workstation’s portfolio.

  • Own and execute the strategic plan for Workstation Operating System support from ideation and customer research all the way through final implementation and sales enablement
  • Own and execute the strategic plan for Workstation specific software offerings, including both third party software applications and software developed within Lenovo
  • Track and report ongoing project status
  • Interface with the broader Lenovo software organization and drive Workstation requirements into the design and implementation of broader Lenovo software offerings
  • Manage the Workstation relationship with software vendors and providers in collaboration with other Lenovo teams
  • Collaborate with geography product managers and sales leaders and develop needed marketing collateral for OS and Software offerings
  • Address inquiries from sales and geo teams as the software SME for the Workstation team
  • Collaborate with the Workstation Solutions team on future solutions offerings and execution of current offerings

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5+ years experience of product management experience for technical products
  • Strong experience working with global teams in multiple time zones
  • Demonstrated successful software management experience
  • Ability to respond quickly to multiple issues
  • Strong Excel and Power Point skills 
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA
  • Enterprise software experience highly preferred.
  • 2+ years product marketing experience in a global capacity highly preferred.
  • External software partner relationship experience
  • Strong technical acumen and passion for learning new technologies
  • Self-starter who can manage ambiguity, chart a clear course and make tough decisions
  • Knowledgeable in Linux, Open Source Technologies, Software Development, Agile Application Development, and or System Administration
