Description and Requirements

As a workstation Solutions engineer, you are responsible for testing and validating unique solutions and proof of concepts on our ThinkStation and Thinkpad P-series workstation products. You will be responsible for analyzing CPU, memory, GPU, network, storage, and other components of workstation products.  You will work with marketing managers and solution architects to investigate and validate existing and new solutions including remote, AI, workload balancing, performance improvements, and other prototype software and hardware.   

This position will require you to:

  • Build up systems and swap hardware (CPUs, GPUs, memory, and storage devices) as needed.  Install OS’s, drivers, BIOS, and firmware updates
  • Test proof of concept designs in both hardware & software plus provide feedback for issues blocking success of the concept based on design knowledge or debug analysis
  • Manage and support customer engagements for testing POC

Basic Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar field.
  • 1+ years experience Technical knowledge of computer architecture and key components
  • 1+ years experience Windows and/or Linux operating systems, BIOS, device drivers
  • Experience in windows OS is a must
