Description and Requirements
Lenovo is seeking a Worldwide Product Segment Manager to join its Global Product Business Unit. The position will be based at our Headquarters in Morrisville, NC and will be responsible for our industry-leading mobile workstation portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a global and multicultural team environment.
This role requires working with customers and technology partners to gather requirements and define our next generation desktop workstation. This role is a core member of cross-disciplinary team working with product development, engineering, procurement, and services to develop and bring to market new mobile workstation products.
This individual must be passionate about technology, possess strong written and oral communications skills, be a creative yet detail-oriented thinker, and be able to thrive in a diverse team environment.
Basic qualifications
- Undergraduate degree
- 7+ years of relevant experience in marketing management or technical sales enablement
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years product management experience for technical products
- Past experience working in technology, preferably with mobile workstation products or target industries
- Technical and/or Engineering degree
- Previous responsibility for a product/product segment from inception to end of life; includes business case development, gathering market requirements, launch planning, execution, and product performance tracking at all levels.
- Analysis of market trends, customer segments and requirements, and competitive landscape to establish product positioning, pricing and delivery strategies
- Previous technical sales experience or customer facing roles is highly desirable
- Ability to work in a global team environment
- Ability to think strategically but have exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- Flexibility to travel as needed (10-20%)
