These are your detailed responsibilities:
Support System Integration projects with the factory.
Debug and solve issues quickly. 80% debug (include meeting with customer and factory) and 20% development
Work closely with customer engineering teams and Lenovo sales and marketing teams to extract and understand customer requirements in order to drive server designs/architectures, node/rack/scale level test plans, cable mappings, rack configurations, serviceability, manageability, etc.
Create specifications and collateral that define the next generation hyperscale platforms
Lead engagement with suppliers and partners of hardware building blocks such as storage devices, network controllers, FPGAs, encryption/accelerator devices, GPUs and other emerging technology hardware devices
Continue to promote innovation within Lenovo and the computing industry by filing new patents annually
Own end-to-end product delivery (power point to production) from pre-concept to launch of platforms
Work closely with validation engineering team, systems engineering team and manufacturing engineering team to drive issues found during test to closure between commodity vendor and customer
Help identify areas of testing that could be automated and work with validation/script team to implement automation
Help TPMs define development and test schedules
Develop UEFI features, fix issues, provide test case item and release UEFI firmware to meet project schedule and ship product smoothly.
Co-work with other function teams to finish customer’s need and provide solution or suggestion while there are expected question.
Host meeting to report status of project with customer, understand customer’s requirements and provide the development schedule to finish it.
Solve manufacture or customer problems in a timely manner and be able to cooperate with business travel requirements if necessary.
Regular share technology knowledge or experience to enhance team member’s personal abilities.
Organization
You will report to Taipei UEFI manager and work as part of global firmware team. You will participate in weekly collaborative planning calls and meetings.
