Description and Requirements

General Description:

We are looking for an Automation Software Engineer with a solid background in programming languages and software automation for a position in Lenovo Infrastructure Solution Group (ISG) Product Assurance (PA) Monterrey team. The role will require experience with new feature scripts and automation, data capture as well as training experience. This role will work closely with both the development and automation PA teams to develop new functions and functionalities. Responsibilities will include defect discovery and documentation, debug efforts, execution of test plans, test plan reviews / creation and training new execution engineers.

Applicants must have a strong background in language programming. Experience should encompass several of the following, protocol level validation (IPMI, Redfish, Python, PHP, HTML). The role requires experience working with GPUs and Automation. The candidate needs experience coordinating a team, addressing daily activities, identifying and resolving blocking issues with development teams.

Job responsibilities:

  • Provide development of GPU for Product Assurance validation efforts.
  • Identify automation opportunities and drive automation development activities.
  • Research and understand new automated functions.
  • Work cross-team within PA US and Asia with Development to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Training of new team members
  • Gather / present status.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Intermediate English is required (Mandarin is also a plus)
  • Bachelor Degree and Professional ID (cedula professional)
  • 2+ years’ experience in Automation, Develop and Programming in server industry.
  • Programming / scripting – Primarily Python, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, Bash, Power shell
  • DataBases MS SQL, PowerBI, MySQL
  • Tools Jenkins, RedFish, OpenStack, GitHub, GitLab, IPMItool, Task Scheduler, Batch
  • Basic knowledge of server OS’s (RedHat, SuSE, Windows, VMWare)
  • Ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities.
  • Additionally skills is a plus:
    • Server architecture
    • Understanding of servers, server HW, and server firmware
    • Understanding of PA, development, and unit test processes
