Lead Architect
Job Title: Lead Architect
Location: Hong Kong
Job Summary
We are seeking an accomplished Lead Architect and/or Deputy Project Director to spearhead a large-scale outsourcing project for a major telecommunications provider in the region. This pivotal role will focus on architectural leadership, technology advocacy, and providing technical expertise across infrastructure management services, application management services, and business process outsourcing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications architecture and technological solutions, with a passion for driving innovation and delivering service excellence to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Leadership: Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive architectural frameworks that align with the strategic objectives of our telecommunications clients, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
Technology Advocacy: Act as a technology advocate for the clients, promoting cutting-edge solutions in AI/ML and data analytics that enhance operational efficiency and drive business transformation, leveraging the AIOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to automate provisioning and configuration.
Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance on implementing advanced technological solutions to optimize systems performance, customer experience, and operation processes, utilizing industry practices and methodologies.
Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and proactively design tailored solutions that align with client’s business strategies and goals.
Team Collaborations: Advocate for best practices in architecture design, IaC implementation, AI/ML integration. Mentor and develop architects and project managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous development.
Service Management: Oversee end-to-end service delivery, managing timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure successful outcomes. Coordinate cross-functional teams (IT, operations, vendors) to ensure project success and service delivery.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in telecommunications architecture or IT service delivery, with proven success in managing large-scale outsourcing projects within the telecom or technology industry.
Skills: Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud technologies, network architecture (including LTE/5G), and application management services. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g. TOGAF, PMP) are highly desirable.
