Description and Requirements

Key responsibilities:

  • Participate in deep-dive discussions and be able to articulate the value propositions associated with the product and/or technology to translate the technical view into the implementation view and address specific customer questions and concerns.
  • Participate in and run training and enablement sessions at a technical level with sales and presales teams within Lenovo globally.
  • Maintain excellent communication with customers quickly, thoroughly, and accurately to build customer loyalty by being a valued resource and enabling a win-win philosophy for both the customer and the company.
  • May participate in complex technical architecture, design, and sizing, by identifying site-specific parameters and constraints that impact the technical solution. Validate the overall solution by ensuring proposed products work properly and deliver the expected benefits.
  • Contribute to deals in the pipeline where needed and consistently use tools to log and track activity throughout the sales cycle. Identify probable competition and provide advice and assistance in countering it.
  • Create and maintain effective customer relationships to secure customer satisfaction.
  • Be able to present to the vendors business on both Lenovo and TruScale specific value proposition.
  • Engage with Lenovo product management and engineering groups at Global level to participate in and advise in the building of Lenovo and SUSE solution stacks 
  • Provide direct engagement with our geography and One Lenovo technical sellers and account teams helping them identify and qualifying opportunities. 
  • Engage with partners on product and solution capabilities to create unique offerings.
  • Assist with Product Marketing activity including event support, sales enablement content, disclosures and solution briefs as it relates to the SUSE portfolio.
Quantitative
  • In the following quarter of being onboarded, the employee will deliver an introduction pkg to the field. This pkg will contain the following:
    • With each win, the individual will request a reference, quote and whitepaper from a customer.
    • The individual will meet weekly with both internal partners and SUSE to drive collaboration and alignment.
    • Individual will contribute to the monthly ecosystem newsletter on content (1 contribution)
  • Individual will:
    • Contribute and participate in Lenovo EBC briefings when appropriate (goal 3 per month)
    • Develop a Deployment Ready Solution (DRS) for SUSE Linux within the configurator.
    • 3 lighthouse wins this year will be achieved with the team.
What you need.
To be considered for the role, you must possess the following basic qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or comparable degree
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience in delivering IT solutions in a customer centric role.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
What will set you apart.
The ideal candidate will possess the following preferred qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in managing containerized workloads, orchestrating applications with
  • Kubernetes, and leveraging Rancher for robust deployment and management.
  • Familiarity with SUSE Linux Enterprise (SLES) and the SUSE ecosystem is essential for this role.
  • Prior experience in SUSE, SAP & edge technologies, solutions, applications, and open-source software with a strong understand of computing, storage and interconnects.
  • Ability to grasp fast-changing developments and how they can impact customers.
  • Innovative and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Action-oriented and able to work independently with clear priorities in a matrix organization. Superior knowledge of Linux, SAP, edge and AI, market trends, competition, sales strategies, and partner landscape.
  • Good presentation skills to speak at conferences and public events.
  • Prior experience working with global customers and technology partners.
  • Previous experience in product marketing or technical marketing role with experience developing value props, personas, and target markets. Experience bringing new products to market, establishing product/market fit.
