Description and Requirements
The Change Management COE Director is responsible for building and leading a centralized team that defines, promotes, and governs change management practices across the organization. This role ensures that digital and AI transformation initiatives are executed effectively, consistently, and with minimal resistance, ultimately improving adoption and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the vision and strategy for the Change Management COE.
- Align change management practices with organizational goals and transformation initiatives.
Framework & Methodology Development:
- Design and maintain standardized change management methodologies, tools, and templates.
- Establish best practices and ensure consistent application across projects.
Governance & Oversight:
- Define KPIs and success metrics for change initiatives.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of change efforts across the organization.
Capability Building:
- Build organizational change capability through training, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
- Develop and lead a network of change agents and champions.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with senior leaders, HR, communications, and project teams to embed change management into strategic initiatives.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and foster buy-in at all levels.
Change Execution Support:
- Provide hands-on support for high-impact or complex transformation initiatives.
- Conduct impact assessments, readiness evaluations, and resistance management planning.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field.
- 8–12+ years of experience in change management, including leadership roles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in building or leading a Change Management COE.
- Strong knowledge of change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci, Kotter).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiar with Digital and AI technology trends.
- Certification in change management (e.g., Prosci, ACMP).
- Experience in large-scale transformation programs (digital, cultural, M&A).
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Ability to influence and lead through ambiguity.
The base salary budgeted range for this position is $165k - 185k. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. This is a hybrid position 3 days per week at our Morrisville or Chicago location. Relocation support can be provided.
