Lenovo is looking for a HPC System Admin to join its Global HPC Professional Services team.
The position will require onsite work in Chicago, Illinois. Candidates must be local to the area or must be willing to relocate.

As a member of the Lenovo HPC Professional Services team, your responsibilities will cover:
- Hardware Installation and maintenance, including troubleshooting, diagnosis and replacing hardware components
- Interaction with the customer, keeping them updated on the progress of all issues or support tickets
- Assist and work hand in hand with the Lenovo Level 3 (L3) team to perform a deeper analysis of any issues.
- Implement, deliver, and administer HPC Servers and Cluster environments.
- Setup and steer frequent customer meetings
- Liaise with Lenovo partners and manage their activities onsite
- Perform solution optimization, migration, upgrade, and recommend strategies
- Work collaboratively and complementary with the Hardware Sales team, Technical Sales (presales) team, and Business Partners.
Organization
You will be part of a global HPC System Admin team supporting customers in the North American region but on occasion worldwide. You will participate in weekly collaborative calls and meetings.
The position offers you the opportunity to build a solid customer relationship, so it is important that you possess customer interaction skills and the ability to make technical decisions, to collaborate during projects with several organization verticals, partners, and customers to develop training and knowledge base documentation.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge on System Management related skills, e.g. IPMI/SNMP
- 3+ years experience with Linux support (i.e. Suse, RHEL & CentOS).
- Very good hands-on technical skills and problem-solving skills.

- HPC server system troubleshooting and support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
