Description and Requirements

  • Lead and manage cable/connector engineers in the cable/connector sub-system design, development, installation, and maintenance of Cable/connector.
  • Develop and maintain cable/connector connection topology/config and test plan.
  • Draw up and review sub-cable system designs, specifications, and documentation, and ensure that all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets for cable sub-system by project and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Conduct research and stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in cable technologies.
  • InTerConnect Engineer is the system cable routing owner to lead system cable routing validation and implementation with cross function teams at each stage.
  • Create cable documentation(Cable List /Drawing/Routing file) and ensure that all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure that cables of system are designed and implemented in accordance with industry standards and product requirements.
  • Conduct testing and analysis of cable to ensure that they meet product requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cable design.
  • Communicate project status and technical information to Project team and all support teams.
  • Act as main contact window with project teams to follow the progress of project throughout.
  • InTerConnect Engineer is cable design owner including cable length definition. ME supports cable length reference for first new design or design-changed cables.
  • InTerConnect Engineer co-works with WWME and cross function teams to finalize the cable specification including cable length.
  • Sample build/delivery tracking & Record Ticket closure.
  • Weekly Defect tracking.
  • EC Release and FRU-LPN linkage.
  • BOM update tracking.
  • Compliance GDX Upload status tracking.
