Description and Requirements

Inside Sales (Territory Management – Japan)

Lenovo OEM business unit specialized on embedded solutions and IoT domain.  Our team members provide subject matter expertise, working alongside Lenovo segment sales to accelerate the growth and adoption of Lenovo’s wide array of products and solutions into the Operational Technology (OT) space and digitally transformed environments.

We are looking for passionate, self-driven Inside Sales Professionals to join our team, focusing on Territory Management for Japan. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, possess strong inside sales operational management skills, and have the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. A proven track record in a similar role will be a significant advantage.

Key responsibilities:

As a member of the OEM Team, you will collaborate closely with OEM field sales and direct account teams across AP to engage in OEM opportunities. You are expected to align external sales & solutions teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Achieving Targets: Meeting quarterly financial targets, metrics, and objectives.
  • Customer Engagement: Driving inbound and outbound conversations with customers and partners to maintain and expand OEM business relationships and market share with both existing and new customers.
  • Trusted Advisor: Leveraging in-depth knowledge of Lenovo’s technology, products, and services to act as a trusted business advisor for customers.
  • Account Planning: Developing account plans and business strategies in collaboration with OEM field sales and extended support teams to grow the business by delivering value-based solutions that meet customer requirements。
  • Territory Management: Managing assigned territories and accounts, including account planning, sales forecasting, and engaging cross-functional resources to ensure organizational alignment and meet customer needs.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Maintaining regular contact with customers to ensure satisfaction, resolve issues, and drive the expansion of Lenovo’s footprint by offering immediate response and feedback.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date pipeline information in D365 for all opportunities and providing required forecasts and updates for the assigned territory.
  • Face-to-Face Engagement: Deepening account relationships through in-person visits whenever possible.

Essential requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in inside sales, preferably within the OEM or technology sector.
  • Skills
    • Strong work ethic, drive, enthusiasm, and a proactive mindset.
    • Sales track record with acquisition and/or key account management experience.
    • Fluency in Japanese and English (verbal and written). Knowledge of additional languages/AP dialects (e.g., Mandarin) is an advantage.
    • Ability to align Lenovo’s products and services with customer needs.
    • Strong influencing skills with the ability to convey urgency and drive issues to closure.
    • Capability to work independently in engaging and closing sales opportunities.
    • Proficiency in designing account plans and strategies.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging customers, support teams, and leadership.
    • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
    • Intermediate skills in MS Office.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
