Job Objective
Lead the end-to-end marketing strategy for Motorola’s product portfolio in India, including smartphones, tablets, and accessories. This role will focus on driving brand growth, customer engagement, and business results across online, offline, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) channels.
About the organization:
Motorola Mobility India is responsible for all mobile device business (smartphone, tablet and mobile accessories etc.) in India market. The team is closely working with Asia Pacific HQ based in India – reporting to the APAC Marketing Head.
The products are distributed through online and offline retailers as well as D2C website.

Role Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns for Motorola products in India.
- Own the marketing communication lifecycle, from planning and development to localization.
- Drive paid media initiatives, ensuring effective media planning, execution, and optimization across digital and traditional channels.
- Spearhead corporate communication and public relations to secure consistent earned media coverage.
- Plan and execute influencer marketing campaigns to build brand consideration and purchase intent.
- Lead retail marketing efforts, including in-store displays (ISD), point-of-sale materials (POSM), and staff training.
- Strategically collaborate with e-commerce and retail partners to maximize co-marketing opportunities and drive higher share of voice (SOV).
- Oversee social media management, CRM, and digital presence across owned platforms, ensuring alignment with campaign objectives.
- Plan and manage marketing budgets, ensuring efficiency and measurable ROI.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Finance, Supply Chain, Product teams) and external partners (media, creative, and PR agencies) for seamless execution.
- Leverage consumer insights from research, reviews, and social sentiment to inform strategy.
- Establish and track key marketing and brand metrics, aligning them with business growth targets.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Education: Full-time MBA preferred.
- Experience:
- 15+ years in marketing, with expertise in consumer electronics, consumer goods, or related industries.
- Proven track record in media planning/buying, retail marketing, and digital strategy.
- Hands-on experience in product marketing, consumer research, and public relations.
- Competencies:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in managing CRM tools and owned digital media.
- Native-level proficiency in Indian languages and fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the mobile industry or similar markets.
- Experience with MNO (Mobile Network Operator) partnerships.
- Innovative mindset to achieve higher SOV with optimized budgets.
