Description and Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical development, validation, and project management of memory solutions for Consumer Notebook products.

  • Act as the primary technical interface between memory suppliers and Lenovo cross-functional teams, driving alignment on memory specifications, sourcing strategies, qualification plans, and issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Review and direct suppliers' memory design activities, qualification plans, and validation status across component, AVL, and system levels; evaluate, approve, or challenge qualification results as required.

  • Perform memory pre-qualification testing, design reviews, risk assessments, and critical validation activities to ensure product quality, reliability, and performance targets are achieved.

  • Drive root cause analysis, defect investigation, and problem resolution efforts. Manage suppliers to deliver effective corrective actions and review/approve remediation plans.

  • Support urgent qualification activities to mitigate memory supply constraints, evaluate lower-cost memory alternatives, and introduce competitive memory solutions to enhance product cost competitiveness and supply flexibility.

  • Partner with engineering, procurement, quality, and product teams to develop and execute memory sourcing strategies that balance performance, cost, quality, and supply continuity.

  • Provide deep technical expertise in emerging memory technologies, driving innovation and pioneering technology adoption for next-generation notebook platforms.

  • Monitor industry trends, supplier roadmaps, and technology advancements to identify opportunities for memory innovation, performance optimization, and competitive differentiation.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Strong expertise in DRAM, LPDDR, memory architecture, signal integrity, validation, and qualification methodologies.

  • Proven experience working with memory suppliers and leading cross-functional technical programs from concept through mass production.

  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive complex technical issues to closure.

  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate emerging memory technologies and translate innovation into commercial product advantages.

  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with global teams, suppliers, and stakeholders across multiple regions.
