Position Description:
Lenovo’s Commercial organization is currently hiring an OEM AP Account Project Manager. The OEM business model is focused on selling Lenovo products and services to OEM customers who will incorporate them into their solutions to create unique products, sold to their end customers. In this model Lenovo is part of the OEM’s product development and supply chain. The OEM is dependent on Lenovo to keep their solution’s development and manufacturing up and running. This unique relationship Lenovo has with their OEM customers drives the need for strong project management support for our most complex accounts.
The OEM Account Project Manager is responsible for overall project management to drive enablement and delivery of Lenovo products and services for OEM customers. The Account Project Manager will drive the end-to-end development and enablement of the customer’s solution within Lenovo. The OEM Account Project Manager is responsible for collaborating with the customer, sales, product teams, supply chain, and manufacturing, to enable all special onboarding requirements, product customizations or unique services for the OEM customer.
The OEM Account Project Manager will collaborate closely with the customer as the operational focal for the OEM business. This includes, but is not limited to, leading the Lenovo cross-functional team to ensure customer solutions are delivered to specification, enable smooth product transitions, avoid and resolve business or technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage the account product and services enablement project plan
Work closely with Offering Development Teams to ensure there is an E2E project plan in place to successfully deliver customer unique requirements for products, services, and fulfilment
Management of work items to ensure attainment of project deadlines
Lead weekly cadence with OEM stakeholders, identify help needed, project bottlenecks, budget requirements or other items and escalate any issues
Drive regular interlock with customer’s project team to ensure alignment on project timelines, status, forecasting and demand planning and all project actions
Drive all internal onboarding and enablement activity to ensure customer’s solution is fully enabled
Collaborate with sales and the customer to drive quarterly business reviews
The successful candidate will have the ability to influence and maintain open communication with multiple teams including geo sales and sales operations teams, OEM solution architects and engineers, product and development teams, commercial operations, manufacturing/ supply chain, and services organizations. The OEM Account Project Manager will work closely with a cross-functional team to ensure all work items are executed to a defined plan. This role requires strong leadership and project management skills to drive plans for an evolving business model.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, business management or related field
5+ years of program/project management experience
Ability to work cross functionally across multiple organizations
Spirit of entrepreneurship requiring high-energy, initiative-taking style, teaming, and collaboration
Strong process orientation
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple workstreams across multiple teams
Excellent customer facing communication and presentation skills
Ability to work across multiple geographies and time zones to drive project execution.
Ability to work with WW team members, drive WW projects
Preferred Requirements:
PMP Certified
MBA
High level knowledge of product development, procurement, supply chain and manufacturing disciplines
Knowledge of Lenovo product development and sales enablement processes
