Description and Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN)
  • Configure and install network hardware and software (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers)
  • Monitor network performance and integrity
  • Troubleshoot network issues and outages
  • Ensure network security and connectivity
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
  • Collaborate with network architects on network optimization
  • Document network configurations and operational procedures
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users and IT team members
  • Conduct network performance tuning and capacity planning.
  • Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and drills.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator
  • Hands-on experience with networking, routing, and switching
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of network infrastructure
  • Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security
  • Familiarity with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds)
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are a plus
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation
  • Understanding of SD-WAN and network virtualization technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
