Description and Requirements

About Us: Join our dynamic team at Lenovo, where we are transforming from a product-focused company to a services and solutions-led technology powerhouse.

We are looking for a passionate and innovative PR & Communications Leader to drive our external and internal communications throughout the DACH (Germany, Austria & Switzerland) region.

As our Communications Leader, you will be at the forefront of our communication strategy, working closely with local colleagues to deliver groundbreaking campaigns that target the decision-makers of today and tomorrow. You will explore new opportunities and techniques, lead corporate PR and issues management, and drive greater awareness of the Lenovo story.

The role offers autonomy to set the direction and style of communications across Lenovo’s diverse portfolio – from PCs, data centers, solutions and services.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Local Communications Leadership: Develop and execute a tailored communications strategy for the DACH region, aligned with EMEA and global priorities. Highlight Lenovo’s wins, strengths, and unique business profile to foster a localized market presence.
  • Integrated Amplification: Collaborate with marketing heads to create and drive integrated campaigns across B2B and B2C audiences. Lead social media efforts in partnership with the local marketing team, embodying the PESO model.
  • Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including media contacts and influencers across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
  • Executive and Corporate Communications: Guide executive communications to increase visibility for local leadership and provide corporate PR support, ensuring alignment with Lenovo’s overarching communication goals.
  • Government Relations Support: Work with government relations specialists to develop and execute a shared media outreach plan, highlighting Lenovo’s role in innovation and sustainability.
  • Measurement and Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and communicate PR results regularly, using insights to refine strategies and demonstrate ROI.
  • Internal Engagement: Collaborate with sales leaders, HR directors, and site managers to drive internal communications and employee engagement initiatives across the region.

What we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years of proven public relations experience, with roles in both agency and in-house settings, preferably in the technology sector and with global companies or international brands.
  • Strong understanding of the DACH communications landscape, particularly in Germany and Austria. A grounding in technology (PC, data center, services and solutions) communications is a distinct advantage.
  • Confident corporate spokesperson and communications professional with experience  in issues management as well as a proven record in executive profiling, brand building, storytelling and media relations.
  • Financially savvy, with experience managing budgets to maximize available funds.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented, problem-solving mindset, capable of delivering under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Adept at building trust and fostering strong relationships with senior leaders, blending strategic advisory expertise with hands-on execution.
  • Demonstrated expertise in earned media and social media amplification, with a track record of integrating these within campaigns.
  • Familiarity with government relations, particularly in collaboration with specialists.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Ability to build compelling stories that highlight localized successes and resonate with diverse audiences.

Why join us?

  • The autonomy to set the direction and style of communications in the region.
  • Opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and make a significant impact.
  • Be part of a creative, innovative, and flexible team with a “can-do” approach.
  • Drive innovative socially led B2C and B2B campaigns
