Description and Requirements

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Data Governance Expert to join our GSC (Global Supply Chain) Smart Operations team. The ideal candidate will take as business owner to work with related DT/IT teams and cross-functional GSC teams (planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, quality and order fulfillment) to govern GSC data in good quality for digital and intelligent products development. This is a full-time opportunity that will work in our Tianjin office, and some team-work with outside of China members.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures for whole global supply chain related data.
2. Carry out specific data governance work, including but not limited to data standards, data quality, data assets, master data, data security and privacy protection, etc.
3. Plan and build data governance - related tool platforms with related teams.
4. Collaborate with various departments to align data governance with organizational goals.
5. Set up criteria on data quality measurement, and ensure data quality, consistency, security, and compliance with legal regulations, and also meet supply chain operations requirement
6. Manage the data life cycle, including metadata management.
7. Provide education and training to staff on data management best practices and related process, polity etc.
8. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of data governance initiatives.

Job Requirements:
1. A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, management information systems, statistics, or a related field is required. A master's degree in data science, analytics, information management, or a related field is preferred. Additionally, relevant certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) can be advantageous
2. 3+ years of work experience in data management, data governance, or a related field is required. 
3. Ability to have good communicate in English, both written and verbal.
4. Experience in developing data policies, conducting data quality assessments, and implementing data governance frameworks is highly valued.
5. Proficient in data governance theories and methods, familiar with data governance frameworks (such as DAMA, DCMM, etc.), and possess rich practical experience in data governance projects. 
6. Proficiently master the use of data quality management tools, metadata management tools, and master data management tools. Familiar with relevant laws, regulations, and technical measures for data security and privacy protection, and have practical experience in data encryption, access control, etc. CDMP certification is preferred.
7. Proficient in SQL and other database query languages. Skilled in data modeling and visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI. Understanding of programming languages like Python or R, which are commonly used in data analysis, is beneficial. Also, a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and protocols is required to protect sensitive information.
8. Professional understanding of supply chain concepts, processes and related data is preferred.
9. Have excellent communication and coordination skills and be able to collaborate efficiently with cross - functional teams,  coordinate various resources to ensure target achievements.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
