Position Description:

Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group’s, Server development team is looking for Principal BMC Architect to provide technical leadership to global server development teams, suppliers, industry partners, and business leaders for maintaining a high-level of industry competitiveness in server management solutions. This is a new position, joining a growing team in Bangalore India, working on expanding product portfolio and features supporting our customers evolving needs.

Primary responsibilities:

As Principal Engineer, you will be a technical leader of a world-wide development team focused on delivering first in class BMC Firmware for Lenovo’s server business. You will frequently work with cross functional teams (HW, MFG, Service and support, Product Assurance, etc.) as well as directly engage with customers and industry partners. This includes architecting new solutions as well as hands-on development of critical aspects of the firmware deliverable. Server management technologies are always evolving, and the role includes researching new trends in the industry and formulating solutions that bring these advances into our products.  This role is well suited to candidates that thrive on wide-ranging tasks and challenges, with each day holding the potential for solving new problems, learning new things, or working with new teams, suppliers, partners, or technologies.

Representative responsibilities include:
* Serving as a BMC firmware subject matter expert and technical leader to internal and external product teams, suppliers, partners, security researchers, and business leaders
* Help with design and standards choices on all Lenovo BMC/Firmware products
* Working with cross-functional leadership to align server management features/functions with continually evolving business and market needs and expectations
* Leading architectural analysis projects
* Mentoring a world-wide and local team of BMC Firmware developers.
* Assessing products and related processes and architectures for compliance with best practices, standards, and requirements, developing corrective action plans where necessary, and working with stakeholders to successfully implement those plans

Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

Fifteen-plus (15+) years of broad experience in server management design:
* BMC development experience.
* Architecting secure products and solutions
* Assessing and analyzing various management architectures across the various key stakeholders in the server market.
