In this role, you will be an individual contributor role reporting the IDG CTO group, working with other technical leaders on technical strategy, identification of emerging technologies, including display, design for low royalty, solutions. You will provide an innovative thinking for exploration of products and/or process problems.
In addition, this role may require you to plan, organize and conduct technical projects and evaluation of new or enhanced strategic products or systems. Projects may involve exploration of products and/or process problems, definition and selection of new concepts/technologies. Implement, evaluate, develop, and maintain hardware designs for the requirements of systems/software. Analysis and feasibility studies related to the design, development, and implementation of new or enhanced hardware products or systems.
Multi-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (usability, engineering, product marketing, legal) and strategic solution partners to create innovative, customer-centric solutions that maximize the ROI for new technology investments. Collaborate with key customers & internal team members to remove technical barriers and drive customer readiness for full platform adoption.
Innovation & problem solving: Consult on the most innovative technologies and impactful solutions for businesses through the use of our platform and technologies. Provide guidance in solving complex platform-related challenges, driving technical resolutions while building domain expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Be a key member in building a portfolio of impactful technologies
- Review and suggest improvements to component technology intercepts and device level implementations for an extensive product portfolio
- Analyze device performance requirements and match to technology implementations
- Coach and technically lead engineering teams across different geographies
- Innovate with patentable ideas and concepts within an iterative product-focused process
- 8+ years of experience in with system architecture, hardware and software.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Experience developing for communication sub systems and devices
- 4+ years of experience with Android platforms
- 4+ years of experience with Windows platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with industry standard organizations
- Experience with key standards for audio, video, and communication standards
- Leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence and guide technical and non-technical partners in meaningful situations.
- A track record of partnering with technology component provider and engineer teams to remove technical barriers and enhance ongoing readiness for large-scale platform adoption.
- Experience in active listening and debating with a focus on finding the best solutions, even if it means shifting from original ideas.
- Good communicator, capable of delivering complex technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
