Description and Requirements

About Our Team 

We are hiring a Sr System Engineer to work in Lenovo's Cloud Service Provide Group (CSP). This is a fast-paced customer-centric organization that will adapt to changing market demands to serve customer needs. We're the only company with true end-to-end capabilities for even the most unique solution. Our CSP solutions are designed, built and deployed worldwide - all in-house.


What You'll Do 

• Work closely with customer engineering teams and Lenovo sales and marketing teams to extract customer requirements

• Create specifications and collateral that define the next generation hyperscale platforms

• Lead CSP development team to work out the design proposals with:

-Product and system Spec

-System architecture and Placement

-Demonstrate Lenovo's design and engineering capability

-Game plan and Development strategy to win customer and business

• Engage with suppliers and partners of hardware building blocks such as storage devices, network controllers, FPGAs, and other emerging technology hardware devices.

• Work with internal and external engineering team to complete competitive product design and debug activities from schedule/cost/design quality/reliability point of view

• Hands-on to solve technical issues within Lenovo and from customer side


Basic Qualifications:

• 12+ years of hands-on experience in server development and deep knowledge in server/storage hardware engineering design

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline


Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline

• Customized product experience is preferred

• Knowledge of Intel x86, AMD, Nvidia, FPGA, and ARM based technology roadmaps and how this technology can drive future datacenter architecture for the industry and worldwide top public cloud customers

• Rich customer engagement experience, including successful experience of delivering products meeting customer’s requirement

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle tough communication with customers
